Students from the International Islamic University Malaysia will deepen their knowledge of Al Andalus and will personally visit some of the most important Andalusian heritage sites in the Iberian Peninsula, thanks to an agreement signed between the Asian academic institution and the Las Fuentes Foundation.

The exceptional historical period of Al Andalus arouses significant interest in Malaysia and this is attested to by the International Islamic University, which has an extensive teaching program on the Andalusian civilization that fermented in the Iberian Peninsula after the conquest of 711. The academic collaboration agreement will develop the study abroad program , which includes five proposals of academic and cultural routes of the Al Andalus Live Campus.

The plan will be implemented under the umbrella of the Medinas Network. The plan is to launch it this academic year through conferences via streaming and a first visit of the teaching team of the International Islamic University Malaysia to Spain.
